NAFA student Elsa Tania’s artwork features another meaningful social initiative – I Am Talented (IAT) by David Hoe, a youth empowerment programme which creates opportunities for disadvantaged students to discover their talents in non-academic pathways. Here’s a quick look at some of the artworks: The Fullerton Hotel Singapore The shows illustrate stories of how Singaporeans of all backgrounds have worked together in the past year to strive towards the vision of a caring and equal society, and aim to rally the community together through an uplifting visual experience. ![]() ![]() In collaboration with the President’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards (PVPA) 2021 nominees – a diverse range of individuals, leaders and organisations recognised for their acts of giving to the community, the students translated the nominees’ inspirational stories into creative and colourful artworks which are now projected as vivid light projection shows. In place of the usual fireworks display, light projection Share the Moment will showcase 15 artworks by local students from nine local educational institutions, telling heartwarming stories of the year past, and inspire hope and optimism to welcome the year ahead as one Singapore. The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, the Merlion, and the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands will be illuminated from Dec 26 to Dec 31 This year’s Countdown invites everyone to come together to create and celebrate timeless moments.As part of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown (MBSC) 2022, the facades of three iconic Marina Bay landmarks will come aglow with vibrant projection shows celebrating the spirit of giving to the community. Marina Bay will also be transformed into a vibrant hub of activities, from inspiring light projections, a pop-up winter playground to a go-kart arena in the heart of the city with a rooftop deck and exciting live performances. Complete with specially curated music played through speakers around the Bay, the public can look forward to a sensory feast for the eyes and ears. Kicking off with a tribute to the past year’s challenges and triumphs, the fireworks will then herald the promise of new beginnings and thereafter, culminate to a 12-minute grand finale celebrating Singaporeans’ unyielding spirit as we embrace the future. Presented by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), the highly anticipated Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2024 will feature an artisanal fireworks display produced by the team behind STAR ISLAND, the fireworks musical that mesmerised the crowd last year.Ĭhoreographed to tell a story of reflection and hope, the fireworks will light up the Bay across three chapters, unfolding at intervals in the hour leading up to midnight.
